Mothers Day Rose

A favourite for a gift, the 'Mothers Day Rose', is a small patio rose with lovely deep red flowers. A mildly fragrant rose that will reach around 60 cm. Excellent choice for a container and also does well in front of taller varieties in the rose bed.

The rose is actually named 'Mothers Day', and was first registered by F.J.Grootendorst in 1949, so maybe technically Rosa 'Morsdag'

This one is a polyanthus with loosely double flowers, has been around for over 60 years and is a reliable performer.
