Bomarea hirtella
Bomarea are a climbing plant related to alstoemeria, and Bomarea hirtella is probably the best of them
Bomarea hirtella generally require a warm position however they can survive a cold winter if you can keep them dry.
An interesting plant that seems to drag its crown down into the soil over time, this probably helps it survive a little better in cold conditions.
When we say climbing, we mean it can reach over 3m in height in good conditions, a long flowering plant that starts its flowers lower down and sequentially opens them up the plant.
Care
In the UK best grown in a container with a trellis for support. It will die right back in winter so the plant can be moved to a frost free position until spring.
